If anyone has a way to help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. The problem is that because the computer thinks the trackpad is a mouse, it won't let me put trackpad drivers on it. I think the computer is recognizing the touchpad as "HID-Compliant Mouse" under "Mice and Other Pointing Devices".
Under "Human Interface Devices", there is a device called "HID-Compliant Touch Pad" but when I updated the drivers using the precision touchpad drivers, nothing happened. When I tried to manually update the trackpad settings, I was a bit confused about what to do in device manager. All I can do is move the cursor and click. The thing is, once I was done with all of the updates, my trackpad isn't working exactly like I thought it would. Once I was done, I had to update all of the drivers manually because the boot camp assistant wasn't working. So I'm trying to run Windows 10 off of an external SSD and I did so by following this guide.
